The SAT is a widely recognized college admissions exam that helps colleges and universities evaluate students’ readiness for postsecondary education. SAT scores may also be used for scholarship opportunities and college placement.
KRAI is an official SAT testing center; however, students must register online through the College Board website to take the exam.
Students with accommodations, including ELL students, must complete the College Board SSD Consent form and send it to Brooke Howard at nhoward@pasco.k12.fl.us for submission to CLT. It can take up to 7 weeks for accommodation decisions.
The ACT is a nationally recognized college admissions exam that measures students’ skills in English, math, reading, and science (optional). Many colleges and universities use ACT scores as part of their admissions and scholarship decisions.
Please note that KRAI is not an ACT testing site. Students must register online through the official ACT website to select a testing location and testing date. We encourage families to register early, as testing sites may fill up quickly.
ACT Special Testing Accommodations
Students who need testing accommodations (such as extended time, alternate test formats, or multi-day testing) must receive ACT approval through the Special Testing process.
Important Information for Families:
- Work with your school: Accommodation requests must be submitted by your school’s counselor, testing coordinator, or special education staff. Students and parents cannot apply directly to ACT.
- Provide documentation: Your school may need copies of your student’s IEP or 504 Plan, a formal diagnosis, and documentation showing the accommodations currently used in school.
- Testing location: Special Testing is often administered at the student’s school during an approved testing window rather than at a national ACT test center.
- Plan ahead: Accommodation requests should be submitted well before your preferred test date, as ACT reviews typically take 10–14 business days after the school submits the request.
Students with accommodations, must complete ACT Accommodation Consent Form and send it to Brooke Howard at nhoward@pasco.k12.fl.us for submission to ACT. It can take up to 2 weeks for accommodation decisions.
